I hope that many of you have been able to join us for our study through the books of the Bible In the study of Revelation, there is an important role of intercessory prayer in the struggle between good and evil that is taking place on this earth. Revelation 8.3-5 reveals that our prayers are making a difference: they are heard by God and they cause a dramatic effect on this earth.
Who are these saints praying for? Just their friends, family, or missionaries? Or, are they praying for people who don’t know God, people who treat them like enemies, people who would not respond to the Holy Spirit except for their prayers? These saints are even praying for their persecutors – just like Jesus did as He hung on the cross (Luke 23.34). The only hope some people have comes from the fact that others are praying for them.
Does it excite you to realize that your prayers are making an eternal difference? Does it invigorate you to realize that as a prayer warrior you are a difference-maker for God? You are joining the ranks of believers like Moses, Daniel, Jesus, and Paul. They certainly seemed to understand how important this matter of intercession really is. Prayer turned their world upside down. Your prayers are also making a difference for good.
